Just a little more about food. Then I will move on to other subjects

On top of trying to follow more recipes and using the Almanac, I am also trying to cook more Asian. I am probably as bad at is as it sounds -I mean, I am sure 'Asian' cooking is just as meaningless as saying you are gonna cook more 'european' and I am pretty sure my attempts are pretty much the same as if you mixed italian, british and danish cooking styles = a mess! But I am learning!

We got a rice cooker - I bought some spices - It tastes good!

▶ Hannah: Oh I am so glad you noticed that detail!
▶ Sandra:I will try to do it myself, but the trouble is, I am really really bad at travelling!
▶ Cecilie: about time you got some blog fame!
▶ Leen: Thank you -she does! She was actually quite fine, just not enough to go to daycare!
▶ Casablock: Thank you so much!
▶ Lela: Hvis du scroller ned på siden burde der stå noget med "Not in the US" og der kunne du skrive under -men nu er det ikke nødvendigt mere! SOPA er såvidt jeg ved blevet trukket tilbage!

Wow I love the colors!

The rice cooker is one of the best inventions ever. Growing up in a Chinese household, I never knew any different. It is the only way I know how to make rice. Do you know the finger trick? http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/287053

I got taught this when I was younger. My husband thought I was mad when I showed it to him. He's now a rice cooker convert. And our easiest dinner is to throw some chinese sausages in with the uncooked rice and so it all cooks together. Fry up two eggs (sunny side up) and sprinkle soy sauce over the top.

Those dishes look very professional and impressive for a supposed 'Asian' cooking amateur :)

I totally share the rice cooker love. I didn't even know you could cook rice any other way until well into my teens! Ha. (Growing up in an Brit-Japanese household) :)
